Abuja, Nov. 14, 2024 – Additional 90,000 Nigerians are to be enrolled as fellows in the third Cohort of the 3 Million Technical Talent project (3MTT).
Dr. Bosun Tijani, the Minister of Communications, Innovation, and Digital Economy, announced this in a post on his X handle.
He said applications were still open to Nigerians who could still participate in the talent accelerator program to learn in-demand tech skills and become part of a pool of technical talent for the growing digital economy in Nigeria and globally.
“I am pleased to announce that Cohort 3 of @3MTTNigeria is now live and we will be enrolling an additional 90,000 Fellows to start their training journey.
“For those in our 3MTT Community who have been patiently waiting, please visit your dashboard to get the next instructions on how to take the required foundational learning courses and assessment,” the minister said.
The 3MTT is a federal government project aimed at building Nigeria’s technical talent backbone to power its digital economy and position Nigeria as a net talent exporter.
The project started in 2023.
According to the minister, the training is scheduled to hold in phases across the country.
The first phase, the Cohort 1, accommodated 30,000 people, while Cohort 2 started in March with 270,000 fellows. (GBN)
