Abuja, Oct. 9, 2024 – The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) says it has commenced pre-enforcement action against Starlink over alleged unlawful price hike.
The NCC said this in a statement issued by Reuben Muoka, its Director of Public Affairs.
The commission alleged that Starlink unilaterally reviewed its subscription packages upwards without the approval of the NCC.
It said this action of Starlink was in contravention of Sections 108 and 111 of the Nigerian Communications Act (NCA), 2003, and Starlink’s Licence Conditions regarding tariffs.
The commission said it had, therefore, commenced pre-enforcement action on the licensee since Oct.  3, 2024.      (GBN)
