Lagos, July 14, 2024 – The Dangote Refinery is now to begin producing petrol from August.
This the third time the company is postponing the date of petrol production. It had earlier fixed June which was moved to July and now August.
Aliko Dangote, the President of the Dangote Group, disclosed this to journalists in Lagos on Sunday.
He said that the crude oil supply challenge which affected production of petrol from the refinery was resolved last week after the federal government intervened.
Dangote said the fertiliser unit of the refinery would also start production within the next two weeks.
He said that there had been a massive request for fertiliser from Nigerians and the rest of Africa, so his group had no choice but to respond positively. (GBN)
