NCC organises Build-a-Thon project

Abuja, Jan. 12, 2023 – The Nigeria Communication Commission (NCC) is organising a  Build-a-Thon project.

According to NCC, the Build-a-Thon is a project that seeks to introduce Senior Secondary School Students to Embedded Systems and Maker Culture. 

It is being organized in collaboration with the Federal Ministry of Communications, Innovation and Digital Economy (FMoCI&DE).

“The Build-A-Thon will be a 4-day event that will see a total of 1,500 students from three (3) cities, Maiduguri, Owerri, and Abeokuta enjoy an immersive experience in the technological revolutions unfolding globally.

“Participants will be introduced to a new learning experience designed to cultivate critical thinking, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.

“During the Build-A-Thon, 75 dedicated teachers, supported by the project partners, Raspberry Pi, will mentor the students through user research, prototyping, and problem-solving exercises”. 

The NCC requested for applications through a post on its website dated Dec. 30, 2023.
