Abuja, Dec, 15, 2022 – The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) recovered N134.337 billion worth of assets between January and October 2022. Abdulrasheed Bawa, its Chairman, told the State House correspondents at the Presidential Villa on Thursday that the money were in monetary and other assets. Bawa said that the commission recovered monetary assets in foreign currencies which included over $121 million, over £21,000 pounds sterling and over €156 euros. Lagos, Dec.14, 2024 – The Murtala Muhammed International Airport (MMIA) Command of  Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) in Lagos recorded N1.9 billion revenue in November, 2022. Mohammed Gidado, the Area Controller, said this in a statement in Lagos, adding that the amount represented an increase of N350 million over the amount generated in October. Lagos, Dec. 13, 2022 – Mr Femi Falana, a Lagos-based lawyer, and operators of PoS (Point-of-Sale) machines, have threatened to sue the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) if it fails to withdraw its policy on limited cash withdrawal .  The CBN introduced a new policy which fixed weekly cash withdrawal limit for an individual at N100,000 and N500,00 for a corporate entity.
