New naira notes begin circulation

Lagos, Dec, 15, 2022 – The newly redesigned bank notes will start circulating form today. They are in N200, N500 and N1000 denominations. Mr Godwin Emefiele, the Governor of CBN, had in October, announced that apex bank would release the newly re-designed naira notes by December 15, 2022, while the old notes would cease to be legal tender by January 31, 2023. Abuja, Dec. 14, 2022 (Reuters/GBN) – Nigeria has no plans to issue Eurobonds in 2023 unless market conditions improve as bond prices are too high for African countries, Finance Minister Zainab Ahmed said on Wednesday. Qatar posts budget surplus of $8.2bn in Q3 of 2022 – Finance Ministry 

Doha, Dec, 13, 2022 (Qatar News Agency/GBN) – Qatar posted a budget surplus of 30 billion Qatari riyals ($8.2 billion) for the third quarter of 2022, the Finance Ministry announced Tuesday. Ghana to borrow $3bn form IMF
