Those who planned to travel to the Eastern Europe nation were also advised to postpone such itinerary. 159 Nigerians renounced citizenship in 2022

Lagos, Jan. 26, 2023 – At least 159 Nigerians renounced their citizenship in 2022. Dr Shuaib Belgore, the Permanent Secretary in the Federal Ministry of Interior, said this on Thursday at the 64th session of the State House Ministerial briefing organised by the Presidential Communications Team at the Aso Rock Villa. According to Belgore, 150 Nigerians renounced their citizenship between 2006 and 2021, but 159 Nigerians renounced their citizenship in 2022 alone. (GBN)

Senegal’s power plant reaches €154m in project cost

Casablanca, Jan.  23, 2023 – The 120 Megawatts power plant in Malicounda, Senegal, co-developed by Africa50 and its partners has reached financial close for a total project cost of €154 million. The combined cycle power plant is capable of producing more than 956 GWh of baseload energy a year, increasing the country’s power generation capacity by 8% while substantially reducing generation costs. Lagos, Jan. 20, 2023 The International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO) has issued new recommendations for countries on COVID-19-related requirements for air travel.
