Moody’s downgraded banks should expect share price losses – experts

Lagos, Feb. 2, 2023 – The nine Nigerian banks affected by the Moody’s downgrade should expect share prices losses. This is the opinion of some experts who expressed their opinions on the issue in the latest edition of Proshare’s “Analysts Note”. Proshare is a research and information service company in Lagos. Lagos, Jan. 30, 2023 – A total turnover of 756.769 million shares worth N13.653 billion were traded in 18,248 deals last week by investors on the floor of the Exchange. This was in contrast to the 1.241 billion shares valued at N15.668 billion traded in 18,560 deals in the preceding week. Lagos, Jan. 28, 2023 – Gov. Babatunde Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State has signed the state’s N1.768 trillion 2023 Budget into law. FG to realise N11.54tn from highway concession

Abuja, Jan. 20, 2023 – The Infrastructure Concession Regulatory Commission (ICRC) says government will realise N11.54 trillion on the 25-year concession granted for maintenance of some highways in the country. Global unemployment to rise by 5.8% in 2023 – ILO

Lagos, Jan. 19, 2022 – The International Labour Organisation (ILO) says global unemployment rate will rise by 5.8 per cent in 2023. A new report by ILO on ‘World Employment and Social Outlook: Trends 2023 (WESO Trends) published on its website, reported this. It also projected that global employment growth would be only 1.0 per cent in 2023 which will be less than half the level in 2022. Inflation rate drops by 0.13%

Abuja, Jan. 17, 2023 – Nigeria’s inflation rate stood at 21.37 per cent in December 2022 from the 21.47 per cent recorded in November, a drop of about 0.13 per cent .
