CBN donates 2m bags of fertilisers worth N100bn to farmers

Abuja, March 14, 2024 – The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has donated abou two million bags of fertilizers worth about N100 billion to farmers. The donation was made through the Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security to farmers on Wednesday. FG secures €995m deal to finance agriculture

Minna, March 12, 2024 – The Federal Government has secured a 995 million Euro deal with the Brazilian Government and the German Deutsch Bank Group to finance a Green Imperative programme in Nigeria.   Sen. Minna, March 9, 2024 – President Bola Tinubu will inaugurate Minna International Airport, agro-processing zone and agric equipment company on Monday. Gov. Customs arrest 120 truckloads of foods being smuggled out of Nigeria

Abuja, March 5, 2024 – About 120 truckloads of food items from Nigeria were arrested by the Nigerian Customs Service (NCS) while being smuggled out of the country in the last two weeks. Adewale Adeniyi, the Comptroller General of the Nigerian Customs Service (NCS), said this on Tuesday during a sectoral debate organised by the House of Representatives. AfDB offers Nigeria $134m to enhance food production

Kano, March 4, 2024 – The African Development Bank (AfDB) is to provide Nigeria with $134 million to enhance its food production. Dr. Akinwunmi Adesina, the President of the bank, said the facility was being provided to support cultivation of essential crops like rice, maize, cassava, and soybeans.
