NAFDAC calls for collaboration with pre-shipment agencies

NAHCO begins export of raw Nigerian foods abroad  

Lagos, May 13, 2023 – The Nigerian Aviation Handling Company (nahco aviance),  a ground handling service provider at Nigerian airports, has started exporting raw Nigerian foods abroad. The food export business is being done by its new subsidiary, NAHCO Food and Beverages Limited. It started with the exportation of fresh pepper after obtaining the necessary regulatory certification and approval from the Nigerian Agricultural Quarantine Service (NAQS) and with due consultation with foreign food standards agencies. Prices of food items rise across the country – NBS

Abuja, May 3, 2023 – The National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) has reported that prices of food items such as yam, beans and beef witnessed increases in March. The was reported by the NBS Selected Food Prices Watch Report for March 2023 released in Abuja on Wednesday. Ecobank collaborates with IITA to train, support 16,000 youths on agriculture

Anchor Borrowers’ loans repayment stands at 52.39% – CBN

Abuja, March 6, 2023 – Farmers who took loans under the Anchor Borrowers Programme (ABP) of the Central bank of Nigeria (CBN) have repaid 52.39 per cent of the loans. The farmers had repaid N0.503 trillion, remaining the balance of N0.119 trillion not due for repayment as at Feb. 2023. The Anchor Borrowers’ Programme (ABP) was introduced by the CBN in 2015 as part of its intervention funds to farmers.
