Ibadan, May 2, 2025 – The International Institute of Tropical Agriculture (IITA) in Ibadan, Oyo state, has supported 70 young farmers in the state who were trained in Agriculture. They were trained under Youth-in-Agribusiness (YAS), a model designed to combat widespread youth unemployment and foster self-employment in agriculture. Abeokuta, April 13, 2025 – Ogun State Government has officially flagged cassava harvest on 80 hectares of farmland at Ifonyintedo in Ipokia Local Government Area. Washington, March 22, 2025 – United States is importing Turkish and South Korean eggs to ease an avian flu-fueled supply crunch that has pushed up prices across the country, Donald Trump’s agriculture secretary confirmed Friday. Abuja, Feb. 6, 2025 – Jibrin Barau, the Deputy Senate President on Thursday unveiled a N2.79 billion agriculture loan scheme for farmers across the 186 local government areas in the North-West geo-political zone of the country. Abuja, Feb. 3, 2025 – The Federal Government has advised state governments to contribute 10 per cent counterpart funds to the Rural Access and Agricultural Marketing Project (RAAMP). It said this would enable them to qualify for participation in the project.
