Tinubu holds first meeting with state governors

Abuja, June 7, 2023 – All the 36 state governors are currently meeting with President Bola Tinubu at the presidential villa, Abuja.

This is the first meeting of President Tinubu with all the state governors since his inauguration on May 29, 2023.

Although the agenda of the meeting is not known, the meeting may not be unconnected with the state of the nation, particularly the issue of removal of petrol subsidy.

Those seen at the meeting included Governors of Zamfara, Kano, Taraba, Kogi, Ogun, Nasarawa, Bayelsa, Adamawa, Ebonyi, Lagos, Rivers, Osun, Jigawa, Benue, Taraba, Delta, Enugu, Rivers, Oyo, Plateau, Kebbi, Abia, Imo, and Bauchi

Kashim Shettima, the Vice-President, and George Akume, the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), are also attending the meeting. (GBN)
