Abuja, Feb. 28, 2023 – The Senate has called for calm to allow INEC to complete the electoral process by declaring the remaining results of the presidential election.
The Senate made the appeal on Tuesday following a motion by Senator Ibrahim Oloriegbe during the plenary.
The Senate has resumed for plenary after taking a break for the Presidential and National Assembly election.
The Senate advised INEC to stick to the provisions of the Electoral Act 2022, the Constitution and other relevant laws in its conduct of the 2023 electoral process. (GBN)
