Abuja, July 31, 2024 – The Senate has appealed to the organisers of the proposed nationwide strike to give President Bola Tinubu more time to allow his policies to yield desired results.
The Senate made the appeal at its executive session on Wednesday.
It said one year wass too short for the President’s economic and social policies to take root and yield results.
Godswill Akpabio, the Senate President, disclosed the resolutions of executive session at the plenary.
He said 75 Senators attended the session in spite of speculations that Senators had left the country ahead of the planned protests.
The proposed strike is tto commence on Thursday, Aug. 1. (GBN)
