Petroleum minister advises UAE investors to invest in Nigeria’s crude oil pipeline

Abuja, May 20, 2024 – Heineken Lokpobiri, the Minister of State for Petroleum Resources (Oil), has advised investors from the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to invest in Nigeria’s crude oil pipeline.

He gave the advice in Abuja on Monday while receiving the UAE Ambassador to Nigeria, H.E. Salem Saeed Al Shamsi the UAE who paid him a courtesy visit in his office.

He said the pipelines that were installed over 70 years agos had outlived their usefulness and need to be replaced.

 Lokpobiri said he knew that UAE investors were buoyant enough to provide the funds for new pipelines to evacuate crude oil to the terminals for export.

He assured that Nigeria had a very attractive model for recouping the investments.
