Lagos, Feb. 26, 2024 – Some protesters have taken to the streets in Lagos protesting the increasing cost of living in Nigeria even in spite of police warning.
Adegoke Fayoade, the Lagos State Commissioner of Police, had on Sunday, warned residents to desist from any street protest.
The protest was organised by a human right group, “Take It Back Movement”.
The protesters, with placards of different inscriptions condemning the current situation, were seen around Ojuelegba and adjoining streets.
The protest was peaceful, but some policemen were seem montoring the proceedings. (GBN)
