Accra, Feb. 14, 2024 – President Nana Akufo-Addo of Ghana has sacked his Finance Minister, Ken Ofori-Atta.
Kuffo Addo announced the sack of the minister on Wednesday during a cabinet reshuffle.
Mohammed Amin Adam, the current Minister of State at the finance ministry and former deputy energy minister responsible for the petroleum sector, will succeed Ofori-Atta.
Ghana has been grappling with severe economic crisis in recent times and Ofori-Atta has been instrumental to the country’s debt restructuring efforts.
Ofori Atta has been Minister for Finance since January 2017. (GBN)
