Abuja, March 15, 2023 – The 2023 Population and Housing Census has been postponed till May.
It was earlier scheduled for March 29.
Alhaji Lai Mohammed, the Minister of Information and Culture Lai Mohammed, announced this on Wednesday after the Federal Executive Council (FEC).
He said the postponement of the census was due to the rescheduling of the Governorship and Houses of Assembly elections to March 18.
The Federal Government has approved N2.8 billion for the conduct of the census. (GBN)
