Abuja, Jan. 12, 2023 – The Department of State Services (DSS) on Thursday confirmed the arrest of Doyin Okupe, a former Director-General of the Labour Party Presidential Campaign Council.
Dr Peter Afunanya, its Spokesman, said in a statement that Okupe was arrested at the instance of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) at Terminal 1 of the Murtala Mohammed International Airport, Lagos.
He said Okupe had been handed over to the EFCC.
“Doyin Okupe was intercepted by the DSS at Terminal 1 of Murtala Mohammed International Airport, Lagos this morning at the instance of the EFCC.
“He has long been handed over to the Commisson which requested for the action,” statement said. (GBN)
