Abuja, April 17, 2024 – The Federal High Court Sitting in Abuja has granted the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) the warrant to arrest Yahaya Bello.

Justice Emeka Nwite granted the warrant for Yahaya’s arrest on Wednesday afternoon at the instance of the EFCC.

Yahaya is to be re-arraigned by the EFCC on Thursday over allegation of N84 billion money laundering charged levelled against him and some members of family.

The EFCC operatives had mounted surveillance around Yahaya Bello’s house on No 9 Benghazi Street ,Wuse Zone 4, Abuja, apparently to arrest him ahead of his re-arraignment on Thursday.

The EFCC operatives were later withdrawn from the house later in the afternoon after the sitting Kogi State Governor Usmaan Ododo, who paid Yahaya a visit, was alleged to have smuggled him out of the house. (GBN)
