Abuja, March 18, 2024 – There are reports that the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has sacked at least five directors in a reorganisation exercise embarked on by Olayemi Cardoso, the Governor of the bank.
Unconfirmed sources said the affected officials had already received their letter since March 15, 2024.
The source listed the affected departments to include Trade and Exchange Department, Securities Department, Development Finance Department, as well as Purchasing and Support Services Department.
A source in the Corporate Communication Department also confirmed the development, but said there had not been any official statement on it .(GBN)
