Oyo, Feb. 14, 2022 – Lasisi, Morenikeji, the longest serving palace aide to the late Alaafin of Oyo, popularly called “Baba Keji” is dead.
Lasisi, who served in the palace for 77 years, died on Monday at the age of 120 years.
He died 10 months after the death of Oba Lamidi Adeyemi III whom he served for 51 years.
Baba Kekere is described as a dedicated and loyal steward in the palace of the Alaafin of Oyo.
“He performed his duties diligently as assigned to him by the Alaafin,” another palace aide said.
