Akure, Dec. 27, 2023 – Lucky Aiyedatiwa, the Acting Governor of Ondo State, will be sworn-in as the substantive governor of the state today, Wednesday.
This follows the official confirmation of the death of Rotimi Akeredolu, the state governor.
The state government has earlier issued a statement today confirming the death of Akeredolu.
Aiyedatiwa, who had earlier travelled to his hometown for the Christmas holiday, has arrived in Akure for the swearing-in ceremony.
Justice Olusegun Odusola, the state Chief Judge, is expected to preside over the exercise. (GBN)
