Kafanchan (Kaduna), Dec. 6, 2023 – Dr. Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar, the Sultan of Sokoto, on Friday called for justice over the death of more than 100 villagers of Tudun Biri in Kaduna State who were killed by military bombs.

The Sultan made the call during the Silver Anniversary of the 11th Emir of Jama’a, Alhaji (Dr) Muhammad Isa Muhammad (CON) on the throne, at the Emir’s Palace in Kafanchan, Kaduna State.

“We are here not only to celebrate the emir, but to also pray for the emirate and the lives of those killed in Kaduna State. We are going to push for it until justice is served to the people,” the sultan said,

Gen. Christopher Musa, the Chief of Defence Staff, has also described the incident as highly regrettable.

“Our duty is to protect the citizens; we are going to take a serious action to make sure something like this is not going to happen again anywhere in the country. The president has ordered a thorough investigation on it,” he said.

President Bola Tinubu had earlier on Thursday directed that the incident be investigated and any body found wanting should be duly punished. (GBN)
