Abuja, Dec. 8, 2023 -The House of Representatives Committee on Appropriation on Friday rejected the appearance of representatives of the governor of Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) and the Comptroller General of Customs to defend their 2024 budget.

The House directed Yemi Cardoso, the CBN Governor, and Adewale Adeniyi, the Customs CG, to appear in person before the committee on Monday.

Abubakar Kabir Bichi, the Chairman of the Committee, said the two officials of government must appear before the Committee in person to defend their 2024 budget.

“The Comptroller General of Customs is also to appear in person because we are talking about the budget and how to increase our revenue.
