Nigeria’s GDP grew by 2.54% in Q3 – NBS

Abuja, Nov. 24, 2023 – Nigeria’s Gross Domestic Product (GDP) grew by 2.54% in the third quarter of 2023, up from 2.51% in the second quarter.

The National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) reported this on Friday in its quarterly report for the third quarter statistics ended September 2023.

The GDP grew by 2.25% in the third quarter of 2022.

The growth of the economy in the third quarter of 2023 was facilitated by the growth of the services sector which grew by 3.99% and contributed 52.70% to the total GDP.

Agricultural sector grew by 1.30% against the 1.34 recorded in the corresponding period in 2022. (GBN)
