Gombe, Nov. 23, 2023 – The Court of Appeal sitting in Abuja on Thursday upheld the election Inuwa Yahaya as the duly elected Governor of Gombe State.
Mohammed Barde, the Candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the 2023 election,  had gone to the Gombe State Election Tribunal  to contest the victory of Yahaya as the state governor as announced by INEC on March 18, 2023.
Barde alleged that the election was marred with irregularities.
The Tribunal, presided over by Justice S.B. Belgore, struck out the case over lack of merit.
Not contended, Barde approached the court of appeal. (GBN)
