Lagos, Nov. 7, 2023 – The Lagos Metropolitan Area Transport Authority (LAMATA) is to begin a 25% transport fare discount on all state-run modes of public transportation from today, Tuesday, Nov. 7.
LAMATA announced this in a notice posted on its X, formerly twitter, handle on Monday.
The state government had, on Saturday, Nov. 4, 2023, stopped the earlier 50% transport fare reduction on all the state-run public transportation services introduced to cushion effects on petrol subsidy removal. (GBN)
