Lagos, Dec. 11, 2022 – President Muhammadu Buhari has reiterated his determination to ensure free, fair and credible elections in the country next year.
He said that the outcome of the governorship elections in Anambra, Ekiti and Osun were testimonies of his resolution on free and fair elections in the country.
A statement issued on Saturday by Mallam Garba Shehu, the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, said the president reiterated this promise on Friday when he received the Katsina State APC Governorship Candidate, Dr Dikko Radda, and his running mate, Faruk Jobe, at his residence.
Buhari advised members of the All Progressives Congress to unite and cooperate to ensure victory in the 2023 polls.
He urged APC members to close ranks and avoid divisions in order to avoid defeat at the elections.
Buhari said he had received reports on the ongoing electioneering campaigns in Katsina State and was happy that so much hard work was being done on the exercise. (GBN)
