Akure, Aug. 6, 2023 – The Ondo State Police Command has confirmed the arrest of a 26-year-old photographer, Franklin Akinyosuyi, for being in possession of a human head and other part of human body.
The Command’s Spokesperson, Funmi Odulami, told journalists in Akure at the weekend that the suspect was arrested in Ondo town.
Akinyosuyi, suspected to be a ‘yahoo boy’ and owner of a boutique, allegedly kept a human head in a sack inside his room in a rented apartment in Ondo town.
The children of the landlord discovered the human part and raised the alarm before inviting some police detectives.
The police detectives also discovered other human parts and some items suspected to be charms and human blood.
The suspect confessed to ownership of the items and brought out all the items from his herbalist in Ikirun, Osun State.
The command’s spokesperson, said the photographer claimed the items were meant to boost his business.
“Investigation is ongoing and the suspect is in custody,” Odunlami said.
