Lagos, July 30, 2023 – A Toyota Avalon car with registration number CAL-466GA plunged into the Lagos Lagoon on Saturday.
The driver of the vehicle and three of his passengers sustained injuries from the accident which occurred around 12:29 pm around Costain Roundabout inward Eko Bridge
The driver, it was gathered, lost control of the vehicle following a break failure and swerved off the busy road only to land inside a big canal nearby.
Other road users were said to have swiftly rushed to their rescue, evacuated them from the vehicle and took them to the hospital for treatment.
The incident was confirmed by the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA).
Dr Femi Oke-Osanyintolu, its Permanent Secretary, said the occupants of the vehicle were receiving treatment at the hospital. (GBN)
