Lagos, June 11, 2023 – A female officer of Nigerian Airforce, Master Warrant Officer George, serving at 651 Lagos Base Services Group, has allegedly committed suicide.
She was found dead in her room on Sunday at her apartment at Block T5 Flat 8 in Sam Ethnan Air Force Base Ikeja, Lagos.
Sources said she hanged herself inside her room at about 1400hrs on Saturday, June 10.
She was pronounced dead by three Air Provosts who came with another team of personnel to evacuate the body to the 661 Nigerian Air Force Hospital.
The sources said  that the cause of her action was unknown, but an investigation was going on to ascertain the reasons for her action.
Commodore Ayodele Famuyiwa, the Spokesman for the NAF, confirmed the incident, adding that a committee had been set up to investigate the circumstances of her death. (NAN)
