Tinubu appoints 3 key staff -Gbajabiamila, Akume, Hadejia

Abuja, June 2, 2023 – President Bola Tinubu on Friday confirmed the appointment of Femi Gbajabiamila, the Speaker of the House of Representatives, as his Chief of Staff.

The president also appointed George Akume, the immediate past Minister of Special Duties and former Benue State Governor, as the Secretary to the Government of the Federation.

Senator Ibrahim Hadejia,  a former Deputy Governor of Jigawa State, has been appointed as the Deputy Chief of Staff.

These appointments were contained in a statement on Friday signed by the State House Director of Information, Abiodun Oladunjoye,.

The statement was titled ‘President Tinubu appoints Gbajabiamila COS, Sen. Ibrahim Hadejia, DCOS, George Akume, SGF.’

Reports on the appointment of Gbajabiamila have beein in the media space since Thursday, but this was allegedly denied by the Speaker.
