Abuja, May 2, 2023 – Abike Dabiri-Erewa has been reappointed as the Chairman of Nigerians in Diaspora commission (NIDCOM) by President Buhari.
The notice of her reappointment was contained in a letter written by the President to the Senate requesting the Upper Chamber to confirm her reappointment.
Dabiri-Erewa was first appointed as NIDCOM chairman in November 2018.
Before then, she was the Senior Special Adviser to the President on Foreign Affairs and Diaspora.
Between 2003 and 2015, Dabiri-Erewa was a member of the House of Representatives representing Ikorodu Federal Constituency in Lagos.
She was also the Chairman of House of Representatives Committee on Diaspora Affairs. (GBN)
