Lokoja, April 16, 2023 – Dino Melaye on Sunday won the Kogi PDP Governorship Candidature for the Nov. 11 election.
Ahmed Makarfi, the Chairman of the electoral committee and a former Governor of Kaduna State, announced the result on Sunday.
Melaye scored 313 votes to emerge winner of the PDP primary held on Saturday, defeating Idoko Ilonah, his major contender.
Melaye will face Ahmed Ododo, the Candidate of the APC in the election.
Ododo, a favoured candidate of Gov. Yahaya Bello, beat four other major contenders to clinch the party’s ticket. (GBN)
