Port Harcourt, March 28, 2023 – Gov. Seyi Makinde of Oyo State says he is following the footsteps of Nyesom Wike, the Rivers Governor in the administration of Oyo State.
Makinde said this on Tuesday while inaugurating the phase one of the Trans-Kalabari road constructed by Wike in Rivers State.
He said the Rivers Governor had performed excellently in spreading development projects across communities.
Makinde said he was also following the same path of Wike on the pace of delivery of democratic dividends to the people of Oyo who had graciously reelected him for a second tenure.
Responding, Wike said he had completed the project to the annoyance of skeptics who had assumed he won’t complete the Trans-Kalabari road project.
He said he sustained the progress of the project and ensured its completion despite the kidnapping of the construction worker for five months.
Wike commended the Kalabari people for supporting the PDP and delivering winning votes in the three local government areas for Siminalayi Fubara to emerge the governor-elect in the state. (GBN)
