Ibadan, March 19, 2023 – Seyi Makinde, the incumbent Governor of Oyo State, has been declared winner of the governorship election in Oyo State.
The INEC Returning officer for Oyo State, Prof. Adebayo Simeon, declared Makinde as the winner on Sunday
He said that Makinde scored 563,756 votes to beat his closest rival, ,Teslim Folarin, of APC who scored 256,685, while Adebayo delabu of accord party scored 38,356 votes.
Makinde won in 31 out of 33 local governments in Oyo State. (GBN)
