Dutse, Feb. 27, 2023 – Bola Tinubu, the Presidential Candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), won the presidential election in Jigawa State by scoring highest votes of 421, 390 votes.
He beat his closest rival, Abubakar Atiku of PDP, who won 386,587 votes.
Labour Party had 1,889 votes, while New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) recorded 98,234 votes.
Professor Arma Ya’u Hamisu Bichi, the collation officer, described the election as peaceful.
APC won two senatorial seats, eight House of Representatives seats in the state, while the opposition PDP won one senatorial and two House of Representatives seats.
NNPP won one House of Representatives seat. (GBN)
