DOBA chairman commends spirit of friendship among members

Lagos, Feb. 17, 2026 – Retired Navy Capt. Solomon Ochidi, the Chairman of the Lagos Chapter of Dekina Old Boys Association (DOBA), has lauded members for the spirit of comradeship existing among them.

He urged them to continue with the spirit for the benefit of humanity and their alma mater, Government Secondary School, Dekina. 

Ochidi made the commendation at the wedding ceremony of Engr.Samuel Momoh, the Managing Director/CEO, Rossam Oil and Petroleum Company Ltd at Ibeji-Lekk, Lagos on Saturday

Momoh is also the General Secretary of the association. 

Ochidi made the commendation as the chairman of the reception, where he noticed the large turnout by members at the occasion.

The chairman also challenged members to project the image of the school to the outside world so as to encourage others to join.

He congratulated Momoh for the grace of God upon their lives in bringing up their children in God’s way, which he said, was the reason for the gathering.

He urged the newest couple to make God the foundation and cornerstone of their marriage.

Simon Ilabija, the patron of the association, also commended the executive and members for the unity of purpose, urging them to continue to exhibit the discipline and excellence for which the school has been noted for, over the years.

He congratulated the couple and urged them to be diligent, loving and tolerant of each other’s opinions in their daily interactions.

Those present at the ceremony included Navy Captain (rtd) Solomon Ochidi, Chairman of DOBA; Simon Ilabija, Patron of DOBA; John Omachonu, Media/Publicity Director of DOBA Lagos Chapter; Sylvester Ayebome and Oguh Yusuf Adaji, both members of the association.
