Calabar, Feb. 9, 2023 – Kidnappers of Prof Gertrude Njar, the Cross River State Commissioner of Women Affairs, have demanded N150 million for her release.
The kidnappers are making the demand after her eighth day in captivity. She was kidnapped on Feb. 1, 2023.
An update shared by the publisher of Cross Rivers Watch, Agba Jalingo, on his official Facebook page, confirmed this.
The commissioner was abducted within the Mayne Avenue-Atamunu area of Calabar South in the early hours of February 1. (GBN)
