Lagos, Jan. 7, 2026 -The Nigerian currency, the Naira, appreciated significantly at the official foreign exchange market on Tuesday, closing at N1,416 to the dollar.
The currency gained N12 to the dollar at the market on Tuesday, up from the N1,428 to the dollar which it closed on Monday
Bid rates offered by dealers in the market ranged from N1,414 to N1,426 to the dollar.
Meanwhile, the naira is being traded at the black market in Lagos at between N1,485 and N1.495 to the dollar.
