Lagos, Oct 28, 2025 – The United States has banned Prof Wole Soyinka from entering the country as his visa has been revoked.
The Nobel laureate announced the development at a media conference in Lagos on Tuesday.
He said he had no idea of what could have prompted the U.S. decision, stressing that he had never had any bad records to have warranted it.
Soyinka said the US Consulate just informed him of the revocation through a letter dated October. 23, 2025.
