DMO offers N50bn Green Bond for public subscription  

Abuja, June 17, 2025 – The Debt Management Office (DMO) is offering ₦50 billion green bond for public subscription at the rate of ₦1,000 per unit.

The DMO announced the offer in a statement on Tuesday.

The DMO said the five-year bond would mature in 2030 and has interest rates ranging between 18.75% and 19.25% per annum.

It said the offer had opened on June 16 and would close on June 18, while the settlement date is June 23.

Minimum subscription for the bond is ₦10 billion and thereafter in multiples of ₦1 million.

According to the DMO, interest payments, or coupon payments, will be made semi-annually, while the principal will be repaid in full at maturity (bullet repayment).

The green bonds are to finance environmentally sustainable projects through fixed-income instruments,

The DMO said the proceeds from the green bond would be exclusively allocated to projects and expenditures that align with Nigeria’s Sustainable Bond Framework.

It said the bond would be listed on both the Nigerian Exchange Limited (NGX) and FMDQ Securities Exchange to enhance its liquidity and tradability in the secondary market.

The DMO advised Interested investors to contact Chapel Hill Denham Advisory Limited and Stanbic IBTC Capital Limited, the transaction advisers.
