Abuja, May 27, 2025 – The Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS) has launched a Tax Advocacy Podcast to educate and guide Nigerians on the evolving tax landscape in the country.
The FIRS said in a statement that the podcast would serve as an information platform to deepen public understanding of its services, products, and policies.
The pod, it said, is a broadcast initiative to demystify tax matters to the understanding of the average taxpayers and strengthen voluntary compliance.
The FIRS said each episode would take listeners will on a deep dive into the operations of the FIRS, gaining insight into the agency’s strategic direction, innovations in revenue administration as well as the critical role taxation plays in national development.
Experts from within and outside the Service will regularly feature on the podcast to provide context and analysis on pressing tax-related topics.
The statement said the bi-weekly episodes would be made available on popular podcast platforms and shared across the official social media handles of the FIRS.
It said the podcast would be anchored by Arabinrin Aderonke Bello.
Bello, while speaking on the launch of the podcast, said: “The Tax Advocacy Podcast is more than just a platform for information; it is a voice for transparency, clarity, and engagement.
“Our goal is to bridge the communication gap between the FIRS and the people, ensuring that every Nigerian understands how taxes work and why they matter.”
