Awka, Dec. 24, 2024 – Gov. Chukwuma Soludo of Anambra State has signed the state’s N606.991 billion budget for 2025 into law.
Christian Aburime, the Press Secretary to the Governor, disclosed this in a statement in Awka on Tuesday.
He said the budget, tagged “Changing Gears 2.0”, was aimed at accelerating the growth of the critical sectors in the state.
The statement said the budget gave priority to key sectors like education, healthcare, infrastructure, and public safety, reflecting the state’s commitment to advancing the state’s socioeconomic landscape.
“The budget lays emphasis on execution and acceleration.
“It represents our dedication to investing in schools, supporting healthcare systems, and constructing essential infrastructure, including roads and bridges to enhance the economic well-being of our people,” Soludo was quoted as saying.
He said the budget received overwhelming support from the state legislature, further underscoring its significance in addressing the needs of Anambra residents.
The governor stressed the importance of ensuring full implementation of the budget to achieve the intended goals. (GBN)
