Lagos, Oct. 24, 2024 – Hon Abike Dabira-Erewa, the Chairman/CEO of Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NIDCOM), has commended Dr. Abdul Fatai Olaolu Odemuyiwa, a former Nigerian in the Diaspora, for the  exceptional hospital he built in Nigeria.
She described his Caring Habitat Hospital as an exceptional project worthy of commendation and encouragement.
The NIDCOM boss made the remarks during the official inauguration of the Caring Habibat hospital, a 40-bed nursing and in-patients state-of-the-art rehabilitation facility.
Dabiri-Erewa particularly commended Odemuyiwa for his dedication and vision in developing the facility, recogniing that he had invested many years abroad honing his expertise.
She also congratulated him for bringing his wealth of knowledge and experience to bear on this exceptional healthcare project.Â
She enjoined other Nigerians in the Diaspora to emulate this laudable initiative, adding that only Nigerians could solve their own challenges by developing the country.
Responding, Odemuyiwa urged others in the  Diasporas to emulate this initiative by coming home to give back to the country.
He said he was proud to be one of the Nigerians that had returned home to contribute his quota to the nation’s healthcare care delivery system.
Dignitaries at the event included Mr Tokunbo Talabi, the Secretary to the Ogun State Governor, the Special Adviser to the Lagos State Governor on Health , Mrs Kemi Ogunyemi and the Ogun State Commissioner for health , Dr Tomi Coker.
They all commended Odumuyiwa for the laudable project, which they described as the first of its kind in Nigeria. (GBN)
