Lagos, Oct. 16, 2024 – Lagos State Chapter of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) on Wednesday launched 3,000 Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) commercial tricycles worth N10.2 billion for commercial transportation in the state.
Alhaji Azeez Abiola, the Zonal Chairman of Tricycle Owners and Operators Association of Nigeria under the NURTW, said the CNG tricycles were deployed to the state to reduce the cost of transportation.
He said the machines would help create new jobs for commercial motorcycle operators and CNG conversions technicians.
Abiola commended the federal government for the initiative.
