Jos, Jan. 15, 2022 – Thirteen supporters of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) died in a truck accident on Saturday along Pushit-Panyam road in Mangu Local Government Area of Plateau State.
The medical team of the PDP Campaign Council confirmed the casualty figure on Sunday, adding that 64 victims were receiving treatment from the crash.
It said the Jos University Teaching Hospital was managing 24 cases, while Nisi Domino Hospital in Mangu was managing 20 cases, Infinity Hospital in Mangu, managing eight cases, Cottage Hospital in Mangu, managing four cases and Panyam Clinic, managing eight cases.
the team said that families had started claiming and performing burial rites of their loved ones.
Caleb Mutfwang, the Plateau PDP Gubernatorial Candidate, has asked his team to provide assistance to the grieving families.
He has also suspended all campaign activities as a mark of respect to the victims. (GBN)
