Lagos, Aug. 15, 2024 – The naira depreciated further to N1,586.04 to the dollar on Thursday from the N1,573.54 it was traded on Wednesday at the official AFEM segment of the foreign exchange market.
The naira has depreciated to the dollar at the segment in the last two days.
The currency also depreciated to about N1,600 to the dollar at the parallel market on Thursday from N1,598 to the dollars on Wednesday.
Nigeria’s external reserve has also dropped to $36.620 billion as of August 12, 2024, from $36.872 billion on August 7, 2024. (GBN)
