Vienna, Aug. 12, 2024 – Nigeria produced an average of 1.307 million barrels of crude oil per day in July.

The Organisation of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) gave the statistics in its July’s monthly oil market report just released.

The oil output was an increase over daily production level of 1.276 million barrels per day in June 2024.

With the current level of production, Nigeria maintains its position as the largest oil producer in Africa, with Libya coming as the second largest oil producer in Africa.

Nigeria’s oil production is, however, lower than the OPEC production quota of 1.5 million barrels per day.  (GBN)
